今月は、神田神保町のダイニングバー「鴻 オオドリー」をクライアントに迎えて、新メニューを告知するためのチラシデザインを課題に、作品を募集しました。

ジャッジ・ザ・デザインは読者参加型の企画です。企業が架空の制作課題と素材を用意し、読者からの応募作品を一線で活躍するデザイナーとともにジャッジするという内容。ときには作品が実際に利用されるケースもある、月刊DTPWORLDの人気連載です。Web版では、1位となった作品について紹介します。

今月の課題
神田神保町にある「鴻 オオドリー」は、「お帰りなさい」をコンセプトに、大正、昭和初期のどこか懐かしくほっとする隠れ家的なダイニングバーです。今回は、今冬の新メニュー「おでん」を紹介する、心も体も温まる告知チラシのデザインを募集。デザイナー審査員は、装幀、広告、CDジャケットなど幅広く活躍中の山野英之さん。
今月の優秀作品
今月の1位：木村萌子さん木村萌子さん（デザイナー）
制作環境：Windows Vista、Photoshop CS、Illustrator CS
食卓を囲み、お箸でつつきあう、昭和初期の家族の温かさが伝わるデザインにしました。また、スタッフの方5名を家族と設定した展開にしています。
○良かったところ：
お店のコンセプトである、大正、昭和レトロをデザインに取り入れつつ、文字も写真も見やすく、全体的にバランスよくまとめられていると思います。
×改善すべきところ：
箸の入れ方が、ちょっと中途半端。入れるならもっと大胆なほうがいいですが、なくてもいいかもしれません。メニューの文字ももっと大きいほうが読みやすいと思います。
全体的に温かみがあって好印象です。家族の会話を入れることで、おでんというメニューがもつ家庭的な雰囲気を醸し出していますね。たた、少々シンプルかつ上品にまとめすぎているような気もしました。。
